Legal Search Box is an innovative new search product designed by Corporate Access to produce solicitors with a facility to carry out a full set of legal closing searches, searching against multiple names and company details for one fixed fee.

We've had the pleasure of working with Corporate Access for a number of years now. We developed Legal Search Box as well as several iterations from its initial release. The most recent phase entailed a comprehensive overhaul focusing on user interface and experience (UI/UX), optimising product selection processes, implementing automation, and establishing a cart-based system to improve efficiency. Additionally, various integrations were incorporated to enhance overall functionality.

Developing Legal Search Box

Several years following the initial launch of the "first to market" solution in Legal Search Box, we embarked on a series of updates aimed at improving the end-user experience.

This initiative involved collaboration with the Corporate Access team and careful consideration of client feedback.

UI Redesign

We designed and implemented new screens to streamline product selection, create a cart-based shopping experience, allow for the addition of multiple products to the cart, apply client pricing tables, and automatically share entity data (such as names and company data) between search orders.

Logic for Ongoing Monitoring

Ongoing monitoring logic facilitates clients in rerunning and monitoring automated searches based on final closing dates. This new feature, offered as an upsell, enhances office capabilities, with an associated additional fee at the pricing level.

Search Automation

We've designed and implemented a new integration for High Court Searches and PRA Services (Registry of Deed Services) to provide clients with automated search and order functionalities.

Admin Panel Updates

We've implemented Internal Admin Reporting capabilities to generate client order totals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, utilising opening and closing dates for reference.

Infrastructure Changes & Testing

As part of the enhancements, we created a new database structure and migrated current clients and orders to the new tables. We extensively tested and conducted regression testing against both new and existing functionalities. Additionally, we performed UI testing across multiple browsers and platforms, including mobile devices.
